Kempas Railway Station (KTM), Johor Bahru

Kempas Railway Station (N1°32.183' E103°43.238')
My family and Kenny's family having a day trip by train to Kluang on 4th JAN 2009.
The ticket was MYR13.00 for adult and MYR11.00 for children, train schedule - 8.43am. (From Kempas Railway Station to Kluang Railway Station)

We reached the station on 8.15am, still enough time for us to had our breakfast at the canteen beside the station....hmm, the curry-puff was really nice!

The parking area full of Taxi. I believe that will be safe for daily parking, because all the Taxi driver will monitor your car while they having their break at the canteen.

This staircase will lead to the Kempas Railway Station.

I took my chance to snap some photos around the station...

To the left...

To the right...

The schedule time table for KTM...

After a while, this bell ring! That's mean the train arrive, delay by only 2 minutes only!! That's really impressed us. Because our previous experience was one hour delay!

I never expect that I bought the tickets at the Last cabin of the train. (Yes, seat number provided). Air-condition was cold enough with the seat are comfort! The train was only stop for ONE minute and continue the journey to the north...

The reason of this blur photo above is because of the train moving, not my hand! :) Yeah, I should use the fast shutter setting...

We relax ourself in the train and excited to see the Kluang Railway Station...

Danga City Mall, Johor Bahru

This shopping mall had bring back live again! It was named Best World Shopping Mall those day, then it took over by Danga Bay Management and re-renovate the mall call - Danga City Mall today.

The mall was open on December 2008. The new management totally changed the face of the mall, I was surprised when I step in....

And it's also the First Shopping Mall at Johor Bahru provided security within the parking lot. I was surprised again to see this Security Post at the parking area! I believe this will prevent the car theft taking advantage, unlike others Big Shopping Malls at Johor Bahru which always facing many car stolen cases during their Sale periods.

On the 5th of January 2009, they provided the Train and Shuttle Bus services.
The KTM Train ticket counter located at the 2nd Floor of the Mall.

Tan Kee Prawn Mee (Noodle) at Setapak - Kuala Lumpur

While we were on the way back from Genting Highland, I decided to drop by this Tan Kee Prawn Mee (Noodle) (N3°11.095' E101°42.116') at Setapak which was recommended by Antyong. I am using the Free GPS map (for this trip navigations) from www.malfreemaps.com, and it's stated 'Best Prawn Mee' from the detail of the POI (Place of Interest).

Please take note that, there were 2 stalls around that area selling prawn mee. The Tan Kee Prawn Mee is the only stall in the shop lot. Not the stall which is mix with others...
it's easy to recognize it by the name - 'Tan Kee' of the stall.

We were not sure what to order, and the lady boss recommended us to add the Pork Ribs and the Shrimps. So I ordered myself for Pork ribs and my wife with shrimps.

Prawn noodle with Pork Ribs

Prawn noodle with Shrimps

Both were delicious and tasty! Thanks Anthony!
This was our first time tasted the Kuala Lumpur Prawn Mee. It's different from Penang and Johor Bahru.
I had just one comment that...the soup was quite sweet, maybe because of the MSG.

The damage : MYR18.00 (inlcude drinks)
It cost MYR7.50 for each. This is the price for a big bowl, if you order the normal bowl...it's only cost you MYR4.00 each.

I rated : 3.5/5

Chin Swee Temple, Genting Highland

We had a simple breakfast at the hotel after check out and say : "Bye-bye!" to Genting Highland.
On the way descending from Genting, we dropped by this temple - Chin Swee Temple (N3°24.771' E101°47.311'). It's located approximately 3.7km away from the Theme Park Hotel.

"Chin Swee Temple is a Taoist temple in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. It is fully funded by Genting Berhad, even last time during the Genting Berhad founder, Lim Goh Tong's 90th birthday, they donated RM 10 million or USD 2.5 million to the temple." (from wiki)

We parked our car beside this tower, called The Million Buddha Tower (Direct translate from chinese).

Chin Swee Temple Site Plan

Climb up from the staircase, there are many buildings around....

The statue of Tan Sri Dato Seri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong is on your right.

"God give us the ability of thinking, talking & action. Just fully utilize the ability, nothing is impossible!" by Tan Sri Dato Seri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong.

Goh Tong Hall

Roof decoration of the temples

Opposite the Goh Tong Hall, there's a Giant Buddha.

Stairs case are everywhere and surround the temple...

The Eighteen 'Loa-Han'

Along the small hill, basically there is display (explain) of 'The Hell' by the Taoism.

There are many punishments for those who pass away and step in to Hell. Every mistake you did, you gonna pay for it after you die.
The pictures below is the end of the punishment, and you are ready to Re-born.

The last step of the 'Hell' punishment

The Re-born...

After this you will see many type of Gods along the way...

The Kuan-Yin

The monkey having rest on it!

And last we saw this Famous Eight Gods.

The temple area was cold and calm.
It took us about one hour to walked around, then we continue our journey to Kuala Lumpur for lunch...

Genting Indoor Theme Park, First World Plaza - Genting Highland

After our battery charged, we continue our fun session from Outdoor Theme Park to Indoor Theme Park of Genting.
The Indoor Theme Park is located at the First World Plaza. The area is smaller than the Outdoor Theme Park, but it's enough to bring us the fun!
Once you enter the Theme Park, you will see a small scale of Paris Eiffel Tower. Below that is the children ride - Ride De Paris.

Ride De Paris. Min height - 76cm, max. height - 107cm (Kids below the height of 90cm are required to pay)

My daughter took twice of it! :)
Then we had a simple lunch (or I call tea break) at the KFC in the Theme Park around 3pm...

The pictures blue background was because of the Blue Canopy...

The kids were impatiently having their meals and wanna jump in to any ride they can! I would like to share some photos in the Theme Park.

There was a Flea market in front of the Burger King Fast Food. And if you wanna play some online game or check urgent email, there is a Internet Cyber Cafe on the right.

Surprisingly, it was full!
I think there must be different feeling while surfing at the altitude of 1600 meter above sea level... :)

The counter of the Indoor Theme Park.

Statue of Liberty at Genting

I have no idea what is this statue above, you?

The decoration during Christmas...

There was a Mongolian promotions of their unique products.

We did some Family Rides in the Theme Park, one of them was the Rio Float.

Queuing for the Rio Float Ride.

This photo taken from the ride...

It took us round-and-round on top of the Theme Park, quite a nice view. The total duration was about 10-15 minutes...

I did have a meal (3 years ago) at the shop below, it's was just simple meal with rice, fried chicken, omelette & vegetables. It cost me MYR18.00 for it. That's the price within the Theme Park.

But I have no idea how much today...
And I noticed the Mineral Water selling at MYR5.00 for small and MYR10.00 for big bottle.

After we finish the fun session around 1.00am, we end our second day on Genting with ice cold Carlsberg beer....
