Desaru Beach, Johor.

I will try my very best to bring my kid to go around every corner at Johor during holiday. No exception for this Hari Raya 2006.

Drive about an hour from home......reached the famous beach at Johor state - Desaru Beach. (N1 32.781 E104 15.798) There's a Go-Cart area & plenty of chalets surrounding.......

Desaru Map

The beach really crowded on the day! You can imagine it in the photos below........

Normally, almost the end of the year......no one is allows to swim far away from the beach, because of the dangerous strong wave.......

Johor River - Fishing Paradise

Johor River - Fishing Paradise

After that frustrated working day, I decided to go for a 'break'.
In the evening abt 4pm, I drive to Ulu Tiram to meet up 9W2CHM & started the journey to Johor River side.
Along the way, there's very nice view from the Dam. Cos we are driving round over the dam.
After abt 30-45 min. drive from Ulu Tiram, reached the entrance of the access to Johor River. There's abt 200-300 meter off road drive (but I saw proton iswara & wira pass thru), follow by almost 12KM estate tar road to pass all the dam and estate.

It's wasn't a sunny day.....
Then you can smell the River close to us. And last, pass thru another 200 meters off road, we heard the voice of the Johor River! N1°34.884' E103°58.702'

Opposite is Pulau Layang, and beside that is kelong. (There's almost 15-20 kelong along the river)

The local....they sell crab, prawn & fish very cheap!

Another view of Johor River. (Opposite is 'Johor Lama')
Just because of this river, we have to turn big round to 'Desaru'. If There's bridge.....wah! So simple than!!

Those who love fishing, u can have a boat ride to kelong in the middle of the river for only RM10.

The road to the River side

The Jetty & our blue Jimny.

Nice view of the Dam.
