Hotel Equatorial (Malacca 11-12th Nov 2007)

2 days one night for family trip the Historical Town - Malacca. Stay at Hotel Equatorial.

Staffs are friendly here, and clean environment (Of course, its 5 star!). After check-in, I manage to snap some photos around the hotel.

What a coincidence, TMJ (Crown Prince of Johore) was in the same hotel.

Have a chance to snap his two Ferrari.

Tourists come to this hotel non-stop (even in the midnight), might be the busiest hotel around Malacca.

Taiwan Beef Noodle (Malacca Trip 11-12th Nov 2007)

Had our lunch Taiwan Mee (Noodle), this stall located along Jalan Gajah Berang.
Location : N2°12.571 E102°14.557

I believe it's because of you can't easily taste the Taiwanese noodle over here, that's why the stall was so crowded during lunch time.

The soup is hot and spicy! For those who love spicy, worth trying. Special type of noodle, won't have else where. Fried beef was good!
Around the shop is hot during noon time.
Prices are reasonable.

Good Decoration (Malacca Trip 11-12th Nov 2007)

This shoe shop having a good & special design!!
I was impressing not because of the shoes, but the car in between!
This shop located in Dataran Pahlawan Shopping Mall (N2°11.399 E102°15.106)


We came to this mall after our lunch.
Basically the Mall same like others shopping complex around Malaysia. The only different of this mall is....the Heritage Street. Stalls selling handicraft souvenir and others.....

We had our dinner here. My last visit was almost 3 years ago……

I love the environment of this restaurant, quaint decoration with a rustic ambience.

They serve authentic Nyonya cooking, with good homemade recipe.
We ordered 3 dishes and 1 soup. The qualities still maintain well and reasonable prices too.

Mahkota Parade (Malacca 11-12th Nov 2007)

Wife wants to shop after dinner, so we just hop in the Mahkota Parade (N2°11.351' E102°15.014') beside the restaurant. This is the larges shopping mall in Malacca and won the Best Shopping Complex Malaysia Tourism Award in 1994/95.

But I feel that the ‘Auto Pay’ machine is still not enough……

Went back to hotel after 1 hour walk in the mall and bought few can of 'SKOL' from the convenience store opposite of the hotel.
End my day 1 of Malacca trip.

Iskandar Development Region (IDR) Johore, Malaysia.

Established since 30^th July 2006.

It was common discussion topic locally few months ago……You won’t surprise that you can hear it almost at all the coffee chop during tea break time!

Therefore I decide to look at it before visiting a client at PTP today, and experience the progress of this “Mega Project” located at Gelang Patah.

The developments at G. Patah fall in the Flagship Zone B – Nusajaya (Total 5 Econimic Zones). If my memory serves me well, it was the first develop area for the IDR Project. The other areas are progress concurrently at the moment.

The development region encompasses an area about 3 times the size of Singapore and 48 times the size of Putrajaya.

The Nusajaya area will be consist of :-

• Johor state administrative centre
• Medical hub
• Educity
• International destination resort
• Southern Industrial logistic cluster

I believe this project will have the direct economy boost for Gelang Patah small town, maybe in the coming future of 3 - 5 years, it will expand like other big cities in the same region......
